I entered this plane of existence in the mid ’60s in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I have many fond memories of that beautiful little desert valley. I left home when I was 18 for and interesting stint in the Air Force as a Comm/Nav systems repair tech. I got married, raised two children, left Air Force active duty soon after Desert Storm, then returned to the Air Force, as a civilian. So, here I am; divorced, children grown, a custom engraver and graphic artist stationed in North Carolina.
When I’m not at work, I spend my time reading, writing, gardening, creating stained glass works, or just generally tinkering around. My constant companion, Henri, oversees much of my work now, often adding her own comments as she sits in my lap.
I am also an LGBT, environmental and animal welfare activist. You will probably notice much about my opinions on these matters in my writings. Afterall, I suppose this is one of the purposes of this blog.
In case you are wondering about the title of my blog, it has to do with my favorite form of art, stained glass; and my favorite insect, the dragonfly. In my travels, I’ve seen dragonflies that look as if they are airborne works of stained glass art, especially the Emporer Dragonfly in Okinawa.
I can’t think of much more to say about myself, so I’ll stop here. If I think of anything else that might be remotely interesting about me, I’ll add it.
Thanks for visiting.
